From branch to table

An orange in the sunshine opens a story about noticing where everyday things begin.

It is easy to think of fruit as something that arrives in a bowl. A photograph from the citrus trees tells a longer story. There are leaves, branches, sunlight, and the small act of reaching toward something growing.

A different kind of discovery

An orchard offers details that a grocery shelf cannot: the way fruit sits among the leaves, the contrast of orange against green, and the choice of where to look next. The familiar becomes interesting again when we see it at its source.

Other pictures in the collection show citrus being gathered and prepared. Together, those images trace a simple connection between being outdoors and the food that comes into our kitchens.

Notice the steps in between

Picking, carrying, sorting, and preparing are separate moments. Each changes the relationship to the finished result. A drink or a snack has a story before it reaches the table.

This image invites us to slow that story down. We do not need a grand adventure to find something worth exploring. Sometimes a branch full of fruit offers enough questions for a whole conversation and enough color for a memorable photograph.
